One sentence summary:  A woman inherits a beloved bookstore and sets forth on a journey of self–discovery in this poignant debut about family, forgiveness, and a love of reading.

I think that Mae is  bringing the books, Fran will facilitate, and either Donna or Mae will bring virtual snacks - I have lost track of exactly how their swap worked..
